Hello,
I just imported (twice) in Thunderbird (local folders) the mbox archive
for debops-users via "ImportExportTools NG".
The process ends with no errors and 264 messages imported but then some
are blank.
As reference the recent "Report of our video call" by Imre is blank in
both the imports and I can only see Imre's .asc file.
It seems like all the email having a .asc file attached turn blank.
Does anyone else have the same issue?

Yes. After checking the .mbox file from the archive with neomutt and vim it
seems that the Hyperkitty does not export the e-mails with GPG signatures
correctly. I think that this might be a bug in the exporter code, since the
email contents are displayed correctly on the webpage so they should be
available.
The DebOps site uses Mailman 3 (3.2.1) included in Debian Buster, I wonder if
this bug has been fixed since that release in Mailman 3 upstream; this could
give us a clue how to export the messages properly.
I don't suggest that people stop signing their messages with GPG, just be
aware that the current archives will not have them included.

After investigating a bit, it looks like a problem with HyperKitty not being
able to export messages with attachements properly. The bug has been reported
in issue #252[1] and fixed in PR !182[2]. The fix was included in HyperKitty
v1.3.1 released in December 2019.
The HyperKitty currently installed on the DebOps mailing list server is the
one included in Debian Buster, v1.2.2. Newer version which includes the fix
(v1.3.2) will be included in Debian Bullseye[3].
In an emergency I could probably patch the existing installation manually if
needed, then we can export the messages in the mbox format. But I'll leave the
existing installation as-is for now. The DebOps 'mailman' role should probably
have a note about this in the documentation, in case that anybody else
stumbles upon this issue.

Thanks for this crystal clear report. I suppose that waiting is the only
viable option here.
